In order to promote the application of biotechnology to fisheries, the 2005 Forum on Fishery Science and Technology will be held at the same time. The focus of the 2005 Forum is Promotion of Fisheries by Biotechnology, with topics of genome of aquatic organism, genetic resource and population structure, molecular mechanism of propagation and development of aquaculture species, application of biotechnology to aquaculture, exploitation of marine drugs and active material by biotechnology.
