Aquaculture is one of the fastest growing food production systems in the world, with the bulk of its output currently being produced within developing countries, and with expectations for aquaculture to continue its contributions to food security and poverty alleviation. According to GD of Shilat in Sistan area of Sistan-o-Balouchestan Province, Mr.Ghavidel, "since it has got warmer in the area, we have released 100 thousand pcs of warmwater juvenile fish such as grass carp, common carp, silver carp and bighead into the ponds of Sistan area so far. It is noted that 1.5 million pcs of the same species will be released into the water reservoirs in Balouchestan, too."
