| | In 2003, Iran produced more than 23000 MT of rainbow trout that ranked this country eighth in the world. According to the last figures released by FAO Fishstatplus databank in 2003, the global production of this fish was 490 thousand MT that gained from farming at sea, freshwater and brackish water.
