Stakeholder / Organisations
Description
Community-based organisations Community-based organisations involved in or impacted upon by fisheries and/or aquaculture research and development.
Donor organisations@ This Worldview is also linked under Stakeholders/Organisations and comprises national, regional, international and intergovernmental organisations, agencies and other bodies that fund fisheries and aquatic research. These organisations may also be listed as sub-topics under other relevant Stakeholder / Organisations groups.
Government organisations Government ministries and departments. Includes all government ministries and departments with a responsibility for fisheries or related natural resources and those responsible for aquaculture activities.
Information services, systems Information services, systems, databases, directories, portals etc., relevant to the subject coverage of oneFish.
International organisations International and intergovernmental organisations with an interest or remit in fisheries and aquaculture research and development.
National education systems Fisheries and aquatic research centres and institutes located within national educational establishments such as universities and colleges.
National research systems National government research systems and/or agencies (NARS). Any government supported system within a country that is involved in fisheries and aquatic research.
Networks / Groups Groups, associations, societies and networks which are active in or have an interest in fisheries and aquaculture.
Non-governmental organisations Any non-governmental organisation involved or interested in any aspect of fisheries or aquaculture.
Private sector organisations Any private company or concern involved in fisheries and aquatic research.
Publishers / Book Suppliers Any commercial supplier of books or other printed or electronic media on any subject relevant to the subject coverage of oneFish
Regional organisations Regional bodies and commissions that have been set up to advise on and/or manage the fisheries and aquaculture activities within a specific region.

Adding Topics in the Stakeholder / Organisations Worldview:
The only reason to add an organisation as a topic is if the organisation is setting up a virtual office in oneFish. The name of the organisation should then be added as a sub-topic in the Virtual Office Worldview. It can subsequently be linked to the relevant topic(s) in the Stakeholder / Organisations Worldview.

Adding Knowledge and Headline Objects in the Stakeholder / Organisations Worldview:
The type of knowledge objects added under the Stakeholder / Organisations Worldview will primarily be information about institutions or other types of organisations, e.g. an institutional website; or an institution knowledge object; or possibly an online directory of types of organisations. An exception to this is within an organisation's Virtual Office where they may develop topics and add knowledge according to the needs and requirements of their Virtual Office.
Donor organisations are another exception to the rule, as Donor / Projects comprise a Worldview in their own right, whilst also being linked under the Stakeholder / Organisations Worldview.

Institutional Knowledge Objects
As a rule, institutional knowledge objects such as an institutional website or an institution knowledge object should not be linked to any topics outside of the Stakeholder / Organisations Worldview, rather, sufficient relevant keywords should be added to reflect the research and development activities of that organisation. Thematic websites, online documents and project information embedded within an institutional website should be directly linked to relevant topics in the subject Worldviews.
